Solar Detach & Reset — Prescott Valley

Prescott Valley Completed June 2026 2 days (split across roof replacement) $3,150

24-panel array detach and reset for a full roof replacement, coordinated with the homeowner's roofing contractor.

The problem

Homeowner's insurance claim covered a full roof replacement after hail damage, but the 24-panel array installed in 2019 had to come off first. The roofer wouldn't warranty their work with panels in place.

Our approach

  • Coordinate scheduling directly with the roofing contractor
  • Shut down at inverter and rapid shutdown, verify de-energization
  • Label every panel, connector, and rail component by roof position
  • Detach panels, racking, and flashings — cap all mounting holes
  • Store panels on-site under weather protection during roof work
  • Reset with new flashings, fresh sealant, and re-torque all electrical
  • Commission and monitor for a full production cycle before closing out

Outcome

System returned to full production the same day it was re-energized. Homeowner avoided the higher cost of a roofer sub-contracting the solar work.

"Their crew talked directly to my roofer. I didn't have to be the go-between. That alone was worth calling them."
