Roof replacement

Roof replacement, done to the deck.

Full tear-off, decking inspection, new underlayment, and clean detail work — not a layover that hides the problem.

Roof replacement

What a real re-roof includes.

A roof is a system, not a layer of shingles. When we replace one, we tear off to the deck, inspect and repair sheathing, install new underlayment rated for Arizona heat, and redo the flashing, drip edge, and valleys — the places roofs actually fail. We also look at ventilation. A lot of northern Arizona attics are under-vented, which cooks underlayment and shortens the life of whatever goes on top. Correcting intake and ridge ventilation during a re-roof costs very little and adds years. We install architectural asphalt shingle, concrete and clay tile, TPO, PVC, and spray foam systems. If your home has solar, we remove and reinstall the array ourselves so there's a single warranty conversation instead of two contractors blaming each other.

Frequently asked

Common questions

How long does a roof replacement take?

Most single-family re-roofs run two to four working days. Tile and larger or steeper roofs can take a week. Weather during monsoon season can add a day or two.

Can you re-roof over the existing shingles?

It's sometimes code-legal, but we don't recommend it. A layover hides rotten decking, adds weight, and shortens the life of the new roof.

How much does a roof replacement cost in Prescott?

Roughly $6–$12 per square foot for architectural shingles, $10–$18 for tile work, and $7–$14 for flat-roof systems. Roof size, pitch, tear-off layers, and decking condition move the number.

Do you remove and reinstall solar panels?

Yes. Solar detach and reset is one of our core services, for our own re-roofs and for other roofing contractors.
