480 sq ft stamped patio with Ashlar slate pattern and integral color for a Chino Valley backyard.
The problem
The homeowner had a compacted gravel patio that shifted every monsoon season and made outdoor furniture unstable. They wanted a hardscape that read as premium without the maintenance of natural flagstone.
Our approach
- Excavate 6 inches, install 4 inches of compacted base
- Set perimeter form with 1% slope away from foundation
- Pour 4,000 PSI mix with integral color (antique gold)
- Broadcast color hardener during float stage
- Stamp Ashlar slate pattern with two accent border courses
- Apply antiquing wash and solvent-based sealer at 14 days
