RV Pad and Shop Slab — Paulden

Paulden Completed May 2026 5 days $22,500

1,800 sq ft combined RV pad and shop slab on rural Paulden property, engineered for a 40-ft fifth wheel.

The problem

Homeowner needed a dedicated pad for a 40-ft fifth wheel plus an adjacent shop slab, on a rural lot with expansive clay soil that had cracked a previous pour.

Our approach

  • Soil analysis — swapped 12 inches of native clay for compacted road base
  • Set forms with independent expansion joint between RV pad and shop
  • Thickened perimeter and center rib for RV load path
  • Rebar grid on 12-inch centers under RV pad, 18-inch under shop
  • Pour 4,500 PSI air-entrained mix in a single day, two-pour sequence
  • Broom finish with silane sealer at 28 days
